The Bible
Some say it's just a book,
It could be read,
Cherished
But like drug some are hooked
Some wield it like a tool
It can spin us into wool
They manipulate our mind
By refractracting its light
Some say its food
So we stay hungry.
It's God's word
And we are to eat every bit
I say its a manual
A guide to the truth
It's the record of an age long relationship
Between man and his root
The Bible is a mystery
No one attains mastery
It's the fuel for our battery
And in war its our armoury
It's also for purification
And it talks of remediation
Its now the basis for my existence
So fate is a negation of providence
